The 2005 Food Festival is organised by the Tavistock Business Association to promote quality food and drink originating in the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset. The Festival is intended to provide an opportunity where producers can promote and sell their product in a well organised and promoted Festival venue. The Pannier Market is an ideal all weather venue for a Festival as its roof ensures all weather protection for both exhibitors and visitors. Running in parallel with the Festival will be cooking demonstrations, farm walks a Farmers Market on Saturday and cool jazz on Sunday. |
Cookery
demonstrations and talks from celebrity chefs during the Festival will be
personally orchestrated by Peter Gorton from the Horn of Plenty.
On Snday a grand open sided marquee will house cool jazz groups throughout the Festival including food and refreshments. As in 2004, take our food trail round local partnering pubs and restaurants during the Festival. Several leading restaurants in and around Tavistock will be having Festival menus.
